Over the course of this journey, more than 900 miles were driven, spanning remote highways, winding backroads, and forgotten main streets. Eighteen towns and villages were visited, some officially incorporated, others no more than clusters of homes and memories with populations ranging from unincorporated settlements to small communities of around 3,000 people. Out of Business captures more than the physical structures; it preserves the spirit of what they represented—nostalgia, resilience, and the passage of time. Each image serves as a quiet tribute to the everyday places that once brought people together, now faded but not forgotten.
